We invite you to a 3-hour course of Vipassana (insight) meditation 

  • Vipassana uses mindfulness to rewire the brain;
  • This meditation develops the ability to release self-created stress
  • Stop following negative thoughts and believing them (self-criticism, comparing, "something is not right" thoughts), deal with difficult feelings.

Vipassana is a simple meditation technique with big benefits and this course is an opportunity to learn and practice it together, with enough space for discussion. An important point will be how to get the benefits of meditation in daily life.

The course is suitable for both beginners and those who already have some experience with Vipassana. The course will be in English with translation into Czech.

Course teachers:

Jonathan Preboy: worked for 6 years as clinical psychologist in Durban (South Africa), specialized in anxiety end depression. He started practicing Vipassana in Thailand in 2002, was trained as meditation teacher in the Wat Chom Tong center (Thailand), where he practiced and taught for 8 years.

Anna Scharfenberg: organized meditation centers in Belgium and Germany since 2005. She started intense practice in 2008 in Thailand. Since 2012, Jonathan & Anna have been teaching meditation together in Thailand, Mexico, Italy, Spain, South Africe. They came to Czech Republic in 2013 and 2014, now they are resident teachers in the Tisarana center in Prague - Trója (watch a short coverage on the center by Relax TV / Czech language).
